Today we are releasing an update to our algorithm and as normal we like to mark these events by naming the update after someone in the digital marketing industry. Today that honour goes to the lovely Lisa Myers of Vervesearch
As you will have realised we try to pick someone for each of these major updates who encapsulates some of the reason why we released the update.
This time the update is concentrating on a number of things to make our algorithm stronger in foreign languages, to help our growing international client base. When we thought about handling marketing across multiple languages Lisa seemed the logical choice. At Verve Lisa has been helping clients in the Nordics and across the world for years.
Some other features and improvements that roll out with this update also include: –
We have improved our detection of certain on page tags to allow us to gain a better understanding of Google’s likely handling of a page and its risk.
We have slightly changed the way we tag sites internally to allow us to be even more granular on how we handle certain on page markers.
We have also done some preparation work for a major change to our crawling technology that will vastly improve our ability to crawl in huge volume and at a pace unrivalled by most tools.
So welcome to the ‘Lisa Myers LinkRisk Update’ and to Lisa… Keep up the great work mate
